All services at St Paul’s are child-friendly and provision for smaller children is made at the back of the church. Older children are welcome to train to act as servers and read lessons and lead prayers where appropriate. Children may be prepared for baptism and for admission to first communion if they and their parents wish it.
The last Sunday in each month is Children’s Sunday at St Paul’s. Sunday School meets in the Institute on Main Street (just across the churchyard from the church) at 11 am, 15 minutes before the service in church begins. We usually have a story, a craft activity and a prayer, and then come along to church and join the congregation for the Eucharistic Prayer. The children may show the congregation the work they have been doing. On some last Sundays we have a special all-age service in church and the children are present in church throughout.
